You have heard it said that a real friend is someone who knows all about you and loves you anyway. How true that is! Real friendship does not fluctuate with changes in circumstance. A real friend will stand by you, will stand with you and will uphold you in the tough times. They will bail you out in the times of hardship and will be there to lift you up when you fall down. We must never underestimate the value of true friends.
In those times of crises true friends rise to the top like cream on milk. It’s at those times that we find ourselves astounded as to the sacrifice others are willing to make to help us, because of our long deep relationship. Think about what faithful friends have meant to you over the years – just by being there at the right time!
The cost of losing friends is greater than the effort needed to keep them. We are social beings – as reflected in the success of the social media outlets – we enjoy real true friendship. My word to you is keep them going. Do something today to let your friends know that you care. Make the phone call, send an email or write a note. They will appreciate it and you will feel good about having done it. Maybe if you share this with your friends they will accept it as your message of love to them.
